1 Can I control sections or zones separately?
Our track‑mounted LED lights treat the whole roofline as one continuous canvas, so every pixel follows the same pattern at the same time. Most homeowners find this simplifies programming and keeps costs down. If you want to control individual lights for accent lighting features customized to your home, this is easily done through the Custom section of the App. If you’d like separate looks on different sides of the house, we simply install a second controller and power supply on that run, easy to add now or later.
2 Are the lights dimmable, and can they change colours?
Each RGB‑WW pixel houses red, green, blue and a true warm‑white diode, giving you a full colour range plus tunable whites. Brightness is dimmable inside the free mobile app, so you can glide from « holiday‑spectacular » to « soft architectural glow » with one slider. The exact number of colours, the white colour‑temperature range, and the number of dimming steps vary by fixture and controller, so ask us for the manufacturer’s published specifications in writing before you buy.
3 Can the individual bulbs be replaced if one goes out?
Yes. Every pixel twists into the aluminium track with a compression‑fit waterproof connector. A technician (or confident DIYer) can pop out a single light and drop in a new one in minutes, no rewiring, no removing the whole strand. Replacement parts are covered under our warranty program, which includes a limited‑lifetime warranty on each individual bulb, a 10‑year bumper‑to‑bumper manufacturer warranty on the rest of the installed hardware, and a three‑year service warranty on labour. Once the three‑year service period ends, labour is billed at our standard service rates. We are happy to provide the full warranty terms in writing before you buy.
4 Do the lights and controllers come with a remote control or an app?
The lights are app-controlled:
- Bluetooth + Wi‑Fi mobile app (iOS & Android) for scheduling, pattern design, and over‑the‑air updates.
Log in once and you can:
- set up to 62 timers,
- choose or build animated patterns,
- fine‑tune whites for everyday accent lighting, and
- control the lights from anywhere with an internet connection.
5 Can I choose/customise the colour of each light?
Absolutely. Pixels are individually addressable, so you can paint a candy‑cane pattern, dial in a UT « Burnt Orange » on game day, or turn only the porch corner amber for bug‑friendly summer nights. The app’s colour wheel, hexadecimal input, and “eyedropper” tool make pixel‑level control intuitive, even if everything runs as one zone.
6 Is this just for the holidays, or can it be used year‑round?
The warm‑white diode unlocks stunning architectural accent lighting 365 days a year. Outline peaks, wash eaves, or highlight stonework with crisp, energy‑efficient whites, then tap a preset and you’re ready for Christmas, Diwali, or the Fourth of July.
7 What are the spacing options, and how customizable is spacing?
Pixels are pre‑wired 9 inches apart: a distance that delivers smooth, even illumination without « hotspots ». While the spacing itself isn’t adjustable, the powder‑coated aluminium track is custom‑cut on‑site to hug every corner, peak, and transition. By day it blends into your fascia; by night it delivers perfectly aligned light points.
